Investigation Leads to Arrest in Anderson Homicide

Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have arrested a man that gunned down his nephew on July 5th after the two were involved in a dispute. Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatal shooting that occurred in the area of Ricketson Road in Iva. After the incident, investigators sought witnesses that could help provide information about the shooting death of victim Nathan Lamont Robinson. After tireless efforts, investigators were able to run down leads that led them to the shooter, the victim’s uncle.

Michael Groves of Hillside Cir. in Iva, SC has been arrested and charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Groves is currently in custody of the Anderson County Detention Center where he will await a bond hearing.
