Two men arrested on vandalizing spree 07/08/10

Anderson County Sheriff’s Investigators arrest two men involved with vandalizing spree that left twenty-eight vehicles damaged between two automobile dealerships on Clemson Boulevard.

18 year old, Christopher Quinton Johnson of Anderson, and 25 year old, Timothy Blake Capell of Anderson were charged with breaking into motor vehicles, larceny and malicious damage to property.

Ten dealer-owned automobiles from Upstate Ford along with fourteen dealer-owned automobiles located at Piedmont Automotive were reported to have been vandalized. An additional four privately owned vehicles awaiting service at Piedmont Automotive were also reported to have been vandalized. Two of those vehicles were also broken into with personal property reported stolen. Damage estimated at approximately $20,000 between both locations. The destructive spree started in the early morning hours of June 29, 2010 and lasted for nearly two hours. Investigators were able to identify Capell and Johnson, after collecting evidence at both incident locations.
