Man Wanted in Pickens 07/08/10

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are attempting to locate Robert Anthony Gracely, who is wanted on a Bench Warrant from Pickens County. Gracely was originally charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine and failed to attend his trial in Pickens County last week.

Gracely was found guilty and the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.  Deputies received information late this morning that Gracely was driving a black Chevrolet Cobalt and may be in the Taylors area.  Gracely was spotted around noon by deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division.

Gracely evaded the deputies and ran from his vehicle in the area of Crowndale Rd and Strange Rd.  K-9 Units and the Sheriff’s Office Air Unit have been assisting deputies in the search, which is on-going.  Gracely could possibly be armed and citizens are advised to call 911 if they should see him.  Residents in the Taylors area should be alert and contact the Sheriff’s Office if they witness any suspicious activity.
