Kidnapping Charges On 3 Recently Arrested in Charleston

On January 1, 2012 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Charleston County Sheriff’s detectives charged three persons with kidnapping, in association with the December 19, 2011 abduction of Marquis Rashad Richardson, who was found shot to death and whose body was found along railroad tracks off of Lincolnville Road on December 20, 2011.

Latasha Yvette McCall of N. Romney Street, King Dominique Wilson of Ranger Drive in North Charleston, and Travaris D. Walker of Bull Street; face one count each of Kidnapping. During the course of the investigation detectives learned that Richardson was abducted at gunpoint from Norman Street and was forced into a vehicle and was driven from the residence.

Additionally, a kidnapping warrant has been issued for Fredrick Andre Sanders who’s last known address is on Flood Street in Charleston. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Sanders is asked to contact the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office at 843-202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.

The warrants for McCall, Wilson and Walker were served on the defendants at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center where they were being held on unrelated charges.

Investigation into the homicide continues no formal murder charges have been filed at this point. Detectives continue to seek a motive for the homicide as well as determining what if any part the defendants may have played in the death.
