WANTED in Newberry: Deputies Search For Armed Robbery Suspects
The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your assistance in solving the robbery of a business yesterday.
Investigators say that yesterday at about 11am, two black males entered the back door of El Tipico restaurant located on Kendall Road just outside the City of Newberry. The men were armed with pistols.
The men robbed the store on an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot from the store toward a wooded area behind the store. The bloodhound team responded to the scene, but the suspects are as of yet to be located.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1: Black male light complexion, approximately 30 years of age, 6’0” 150 to 160 pounds with a black sweater possibly wind breaker type, with black jeans, with a doo rag on his head and a dark blue bandanna on his face, carrying a chrome in color semi automatic pistol, possibly .40 to .45 caliber. The second suspect was described as a black male, with a “Scream” mask on, 6’0” in height, approximately 190 to 200 pounds wearing a black in color v-neck long sleeve t-shirt, and black jeans with a emblem or the word Mecca in blue letters on the rear pocket of the pants. This suspect also had a semi automatic pistol of an unknown color.
