Suspicious Death Investigation

On Friday November 23, 2012 at approximately 1145 hrs. deputies from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a dead body at Carrion Lane in the Candler community. The caller reported that they were cleaning up their property and discovered a white male lying near the edge of their property line. Sheriff’s investigators responded to the scene and initiated a suspicious death investigation. Investigators are currently attempting to locate the next of kin. The body will be transported for an autopsy at the direction of the medical examiner’s office.
