Summerville Man Found Dead After Home Invasion

Investigators say a 38-year-old Summerville man has been found dead in his home and a window in his back door was broken.

Authorities said they are investigating the death of Johnny Young Jr. as a homicide.

Dorchester County deputies say a family member called 911 around 11:30 a.m. Friday, saying Young had been stabbed and wasn’t breathing.

Coroner Chris Nisbet says it was obvious someone killed Young, but wasn’t ready to release a cause of death.
