Sheriff's Office to Participate in Project Take Back With DEA

The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in Project Take Back in affiliation with the DEA on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9am to 11am at the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office located at 520 Wilson Road, Newberry, SC.

Take Back is a law enforcement effort to take unwanted or expired prescription drugs for safe disposal. No questions will be asked and there is no cost for the service. This is an opportunity to safely empty out your medicine cabinet of drugs you no longer need or that have expired, including prescription drugs that contain controlled substances.

All medications will be destroyed in accordance with state law.
