Shooting Investigation in Greenville County
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an assault that occurred around 7:40 AM this morning near the intersections of West Blue Ridge and White Horse Rd.
At 7:43 AM, the female victim, who was assaulted and sustained a stab wound to the upper left portion of her back, approached a SC Highway Patrol Officer who was in the area. The Sheriff’s Office was notified and responded to the area in attempts to locate the suspect who has been described as a white male in his mid to late forties, 5’08” to 5’10”, approximately 160 lbs, wearing a brown coat and blue jeans, and carrying a black back pack. The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot towards Pendleton Rd. behind the Goodwill and the old Duke Sandwich Shop. Deputies are currently searching the area for the suspect.
Emergency Medical Personnel responded to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital. At the time of transport, the victim was alert, conscious, and able to provide law enforcement with a description of the suspect.
