Couple Dies in Apparent Murder Suicide
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating the deaths of a 28-year-old Pelion woman and 33-year-old Pelion man whose bodies were found at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26 inside their home on Track Road near Pelion. The man used a 12-gauge shotgun to fatally shoot the woman, who was his estranged wife, and then shot and killed himself.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said the mother of Brian Christopher Tindall, 33, reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Department at about 8 a.m. on Wednesday. She told deputies that Tindall telephoned her and told her that he had shot and killed his estranged wife, Victoria Williamson Tindall, 28, at the couple’s home at 412 Track Road. Tindall’s mother told deputies that Brian Tindall then told her that he was going to use the shotgun to kill himself.
Brian Tindall’s mother told deputies that Brian Tindall asked her to come to the Track Road home in order to take custody of the couple’s youngest child, a 3-year-old girl, Metts said. The couple’s four other children were at school when their parents died. None of the children witnessed their parents’ deaths.
Deputies found Brian Tindall’s body lying face down at a doorway near the kitchen in the Track Road home, Metts said. Officers found a 12-gauge shotgun near Brian Tindall’s body. Deputies found Victoria Tindall’s body on the kitchen floor.
The circumstances of the murder-suicide remain under investigation, Metts said. Brian Tindall moved out of the Track Road home about three weeks ago, and detectives are continuing to investigate the reasons for Brian Tindall’s departure from the home
