On Friday November 23, 2012 at approximately 1145 hrs. deputies from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a dead body at Carrion Lane in the Candler community. The caller reported that they were cleaning up their property and discovered a white male lying near the edge of their property line. Sheriff’s investigators responded to the scene and initiated a suspicious death investigation. Investigators are currently attempting to locate the next of kin. The body will be transported for an autopsy at the direction of the medical examiner’s office.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of Carrion Lane or has any information to call the sheriff’s office at 828-250-6670 or call Crimestoppers at 828-255-5050. If your tip leads to a reward you may be eligible for a reward.

Homicide Investigation in Asheville

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicide of Thomas Curtis Reese. Reese is a white male 29 years of age. Reese was originally from Florida and was visiting the Asheville area recently. Sheriffs investigators have talked with witnesses who saw Reese and companions in the west Asheville and Candler area prior to his death. The sheriffs office is asking anyone who had any contact with Thomas Reese or may have seen him in the Asheville area to please call investigators.

Assistance Sought in Armed Robbery

The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your assistance in information about an armed robbery of an area convenience store.

Sunday evening at about 10:45pm, a male suspect entered the BP Station located on Highway 34 at I-26 with a pistol and demanded money. The suspect took the money from the store and went outside where he robbed a customer of the store at the gas pump.

Witnesses saw the subject run to a vehicle parked on the west bound entrance ramp and then flee the area in the vehicle. No vehicle description is available at this time.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a red hoodie and blue pants. The subject appears to be approximately 6 foot tall and weighed between 150-200 pounds. The suspect was wearing a mask.

On November 14, 2005, Spartanburg Public Safety Officers responded to Highland Avenue and West Henry Street in reference to a reported incident. Upon arrival, officers found John Young II in a blue Dodge Ram pickup. Mr. Young was the victim of a homicide. A reward is offered for any information that aids in the prosecution of this homicide.

Public Assistance Requested in Identifying Armed Robbers

On Monday, October 22, 2012 at approximately 6:00 am an employee of the SPINX located at 3815 White Horse Road was in the process of collecting funds from the gasoline pumps in front of the store when two black males wearing dark clothing, masks and armed with handguns speed up to the employee in a gray PT Cruiser. The suspects exit the vehicle and physically assault the employee to obtain the money taken from the pumps. The suspects fled the incident location. The employee required medical attention for injuries sustained as the result of the assault. It is unknown what specific injuries the victim sustained, however, the injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in this case. Investigators Requesting Assistance in Locating Wanted Person

Charleston County Sheriff’s Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Gary Duane McKee (W/M 05-20-1983), on a Grand Larceny warrant. McKee has tattoos “Bonnie” on his outer right forearm “Clyde” on his left outer forearm, “Geechie Way” on his inner right forearm and a gun tattoo on his inner left forearm.

The warrant is a result of an incident that occurred on October 11, 2012 were McKee walked into the Charleston Gems Store located at 2022 Sam Rittenburg Blvd Charleston, around 4:45 p.m. and asked to look at several diamond rings. As the clerk produced a ring described as a 1.5 carat engagement ring with a .60 carat princess center cut diamond, McKee reportedly grabbed the ring and ran from the store with it. The ring is valued at $3,495.00. McKee left the location in a white Pontiac Sunfire, driven by a W/F later identified as Erin Records (01/06/1995). A license tag number was provided to deputies and the vehicle was subsequently located at Moon Dance Lane Summerville which is Records address. Records was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny. McKee, was not located nor was the ring.

McKee is described as 5-11 to 6-01 in height 240-280 pounds, his last known address is 155 Juniper Lane Summerville and he may be operating a silver gray 04 Dodge Stratus SC license tag ADZ944 or a silver gray 2000 Jeep Cherokee SC license tag EWL733.

North Charleston SC, October 11, 2012: Charleston County Sheriff’s Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Robert Dwayne Anderson (B/M 02-07-1976), for two active warrants: 1 for Committing a Lewd Act on a Minor and 1 for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor 2nd Degree.

The charges are a result of reported incident(s) that occurred between February 14, 2012 and August 17, 2012 at Falcon Road involving a 14 year old victim.

Anderson is described as 5’07 in height 145 pounds with the last known address of Falcon Road North Charleston. Anderson is known to operate a silver and black moped.

Public Assistance Requested in Greenville County

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a possible witness regarding the double homicide last week on Terramont Drive. Investigators have provided a sketch of a man who may have been in the area and may have information relating to the incident.
