One Suspect Dead, One in Custody after Armed Robbery

At approximately 3:00 pm on October 25th the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a call for service regarding a robbery in progress involving two black male suspects entering the office of Precision Automotive located at Poinsett Highway.  At least one of the suspects was armed with a firearm when the two entered the business.  An employee of Precision Automotive was able to secure a firearm and fire an undetermined amount of rounds at the suspects.  One of the suspects was shot by the victim and has subsequently died at the scene.  The second suspect was apprehended at the incident location by deputies after being held by employees.  21-year old Ernest Dean Dennis Jr. was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon during a violent crime, Criminal Conspiracy and Armed Robbery.  Dennis is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.  If convicted of all three offenses Dennis could face up to 40 years in prison.
