Officer Suspended in Henderson County

At approximately 1:46 p.m. on Friday March 18, 2011 the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Highway 64 to answer a report of a domestic incident between Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Anthony Russell and his spouse.

Officers met with both parties at the residence and found both to be unharmed. Based on no evident probable cause, arrests were not made at the time of this incident.

Deputy Russell has been served with a Domestic Violence Order of Protection and has been suspended from his duties without pay pending completion of the investigation into this matter.
