Meth Lab Bust in Pelzer
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit obtained information that a methamphetamine laboratory may be present at a Pelzer home located at Garrison Road. Through the course of the investigation investigators were able to obtain consent to search the residence where, according to the attached arrest warrants, found items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Investigators also located a waste disposal site on the property of the home. The arrest warrants further state that the residence does house 7 children, 2 of which are infants. At least 5 of those 7 children were present at the time the home was searched. As the result of the investigation, four suspects were arrested and each were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, disposal of methamphetamine waste and the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the presence of a minor child.
21-year old Abigail Arellano of Pelzer, 31-year old Alicia Nicole Dees of Pelzer, 37-year old Gregg Lea Johnson of Pelzer and 21-year old Michael O’Dell Thomasson of Simpsonville were arrested and taken to the Greenville County Detention Center where all four suspects are being held on $25,000.00 bond each.
The Department of Social Services was called to the residence where a safety action plan was drafted and all 7 children turned over to the custody of a family member.
