Greenville County Sheriff Cracks Down on Prositution, 27 Arrested

On August 25th the Greenville County Sheriffs office continued to take a proactive stance against those in the community who chose to engage in illegal sexual activity.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit conducted an undercover operation that resulted in a total of twenty nine charges against twenty seven separate individuals. In the majority of the incidents, Undercover Operatives were approached by individuals who offered sexual services in exchange for money. These individuals chose to conduct their illegal activity along our roadways, and on the corner streets of our neighborhoods in plain view of law abiding citizens and Children. There were twenty-one charges of prostitution 1st offense, four charges of Loitering to Engage in Prostitution, two charges of Interfering with Law Enforcement, one charge of False Information to Police, and one Charge of Assault and Battery 2nd Degree.
The Greenville County Sheriffs Office encourages citizens to join us in the effort to rid our streets and communities of illegal activities and those individuals who engage in such criminal involvement. Through our combined efforts, we can make Greenville County a safer place to live.
