GCSO Breach of Trust Arrest 06/24/2010

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 32 year old Michelle C. Colantuono of Greenville and charged her with Breach of Trust, over $5,000.

These charges are the result of an investigation into the report of funds missing from the Armstrong Elementary School’s PTA fundraising account between July 1, 2009 and April 23, 2010.  Investigators state that Colantuono was the president of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association, and that her duties included the organizations operations pertaining to fundraising efforts.

Investigators determined that Colantuono was responsible for the theft of $14,399.38 during the aforementioned time frames. Colantuono was arrested on Tuesday, June 22nd, and released on a $15,000 personal recognizance bond.
