Arrests Made In Spartanburg Armed Robbery

Spartanburg Public Safety Investigators signed warrants today on Cornelius Jerome Staggers, and Gelisha Armstrong in connection with Wednesday’s shooting at Crescent Hills Apartments. Members of the Spartanburg Public Safety Department were able to make the arrests based on information received from an anonymous tip and the collaborations of information from community members. Based on the information received from the community officers were able to arrest both subjects at Crescent Hills Apartments; Cornelius Jerome Staggers, age 20, of Carson Avenue, Spartanburg, and Gelisha Armstrong, age 22, of Oakview Apartments, Spartanburg. Cornelius Jerome Staggers has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of attempted armed robbery, and two counts of possession of a firearm by person convicted of violent felon. Gelisha Armstrong has been charged with accessory after the fact to felony.
