Arrest Warrants Lead to Drug Charges

On Monday May 16, 2011 Deputies of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division went to Pennsylvania Road in Horse Shoe, North Carolina to serve arrest warrants that had been issued for Travis Walter Mintz and Chelsea Lea Dickerson regarding an allegation and complaint for Injury to Real Property.
During the warrant service deputies discovered drug paraphernalia and marijuana inside the residence and those items were seized. Also during the course of the investigation it was learned that Mintz was employed as a deputy with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office. Mintz and Dickerson were taken into custody and transported to the Henderson County Detention Facility.
31 year old Travis Walter Mintz was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property, one count of Misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep Controlled Substances, one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. He was released from the detention facility after posting a $2,000.00 secured bond. 21 year old Chelsea Lea Dickerson was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property, one count of Misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep Controlled Substances, one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. She was released from the detention facility after posting a $2,000.00 secured bond.
